Our students in Milan for the design week

This has become a ritual for all Ms Management’s luxury and fashion promotions at the Ecole Conte. Every year, the first years take off for Milan as part of the International Design Week. New this year: they were accompanied by international students from the Collège de Paris. Nearly 100 students were able to benefit from this extraordinary experience.

An emblematic week

A must-see event, Design Week transforms the whole of Milan into a gigantic exhibition, where creation is glorified in every little alley. Crowned by the very prestigious Salone del Mobile – an essential stage of the journey – the city sees visitors from all over the world arrive: designers, architects, artists, students or amateurs, who have come to meet and be inspired.

A journey rich in discoveries

For 5 days, our students were able to explore the metropolis, between tradition and innovation, with for example a visit to the superb 15th century complex housing one of the departments of the University of Milan, where many designers had exhibited their installations. The visit to the Triennale Museum, a true Italian cultural institution, allowed them to discover a complete restrospective of Italian furniture, as well as more avant-garde audiovisual exhibitions.

This stay was also the occasion to survey whole districts animated by this strong time. Between fashion and design, the sectors of Corso Como, Tortona, Naviglie, Brera and Quadrillatero d’Oro brought their share of surprises! An illuminated garden, street art commissioned by Hemès, an interactive experience here, an illumination of Asian weaving there… The universes are mixed and confused to offer our future graduates an amazing show. All were thus able to enrich themselves with unique memories and soak up new trends.

The trip to Milan represents a key stage of the course in Luxury and Fashion Management. Next departure in April 2019 with the new promotion. Registrations are open!
