The IRFA group and the Collège de Paris form an alliance

The Collège de Paris and the IRFA Ouest Group jointly agree on the key principles of their strategic alliance, concluded in November 2020, intended to constitute an integrated network leader in the education and vocational training markets.
The meeting of the College of Paris and the IRFA Ouest Group represents a consolidated turnover of 70M €, 8,000 students and 25,000 interns from continuing education programs, with a workforce of 500 employees.
The Collège de Paris and the IRFA Ouest Group are developing a common strategy focused on a growth project with national ambition, given the acceleration of the development of the training market based on the following findings:
- France is lagging behind in the training of its assets, with only 36% of assets trained, while in Germany they are 53% and in the Scandinavian countries 60%.
- The law of September 5, 2018 for the Freedom to Choose Your Professional Future (LCAP), liberalizes the training market by reducing intermediation, in particular through the development of the Personal Training Account (CPF), which promotes access to training of employees but also of job seekers through the Skills Investment Plan.
- The LCAP law also allows the creation of new CFAs and the government emphasizes the training of young people, in particular through apprenticeship, so as to meet the demands of companies for short-term occupations and new occupations whose needs will grow in the next ten years.
- This change in the training ecosystem will require being in a “B to C” market logic with new hybrid training methods (alternating distance and face-to-face) due to the broadening of the definition of training action.
- The final objective of the LCAP law is to allow easier and more massive access to vocational training and to achieve this national and societal objective: “To reduce our delay in the training of working people in France compared to our European neighbors”. This national challenge should allow us to be more competitive through this investment in Human Capital, and to be part of a lifelong training dynamic.
- In addition, the health crisis has highlighted two major phenomena:
– On the one hand, an appetite for multi-modality in training and for educational innovation as well as the need for the training of trainers.
– On the other hand, the increase in the need to train and support part of the young people and the working population towards new jobs in tension, corresponding to the new needs of our economy (new activities or relocation of industrial activities ).
All these profound changes will result in a concentration of the market and an increase in the average size of training companies in order to meet the training demand of young people, workers and companies, as well as the necessary investments. . Training institutions and companies will increasingly combine initial training and continuing training.
The objective is now to achieve a critical size sufficient to have the capacity to invest in new technologies, digital marketing, the training of trainers and train a greater number of young people and workers.
The relations that we have between our two groups via our professional networks have confirmed that we share this same analysis of our “training” ecosystem and the desire to engage in the co-construction of a large-scale group with regard to our complementarities.
The IRFA group and the Collège de Paris have a common objective: to build a group of significant size better suited to the challenges of the market with national territorial coverage and covering all three segments of the training market: training for young people in particular by work-study program (post-bac and infra-bac); training for job seekers (national skills investment program); employee training as part of the skills development plan.
We are two significant players in the world of highly complementary training.
The Collège de Paris has a network and an investment capacity to accelerate this strategy of building a national network. The Collège de Paris is a company with a mission whose raison d’être is to make excellence accessible thanks to a community of schools united around three founding values: educational quality; international openness; individualized support towards employment.
The IRFA group is present in the three segments of the training market: training for job seekers, training for employees in the health and social sector and personal services as part of skills development, and education higher through its school based in Caen. It operates in the French regions of the great west.
The founding values of IRFA are based on a balance between the economic, social and environmental, where the learner is at the heart of the system, with a diversification of activities, making it possible to meet the needs of young people, applicants. employment, employees and organizations.
Thus, the Collège de Paris and IRFA are building, through their reciprocal entries into their respective governance, a national alliance, through pooling, cooperation and synergy between the different entities and expertise to meet the needs of young people. , assets, companies and territories.
