French lessons

To really learn French well, it is best to call upon a specialist in French as a foreign language (fle). Since 1984, Elfe, the French language school of the Collège de Paris, offers French classes for foreigners.

French as a foreign language: classes in French as a foreign language (fle) from beginners to advanced French

The teaching of French at the Collège de Paris relies on the Common EuropeanFramework of References for Languages: that makes it possible to teach French to beginners up to levels C while covering the intermediate levels, much in demand, B1 and B2.

free french language test makes it possible to assess one’s starting level. Each Monday morning,Elfe organizes for all levels attendance in a mini-group. Private French lessons (CP FLE) or combined courses constitute an excellent addition to training in the morning group.

The Elfe teachers, all graduates with a Masters in fle or foreign language teaching, in particular that of Sorbonne Nouvelle, know how to teach French to a foreigner: theyare able to follow pupils starting from beginner’s level and make them speak Frenchfluently.

Teaching methods: classroom-basedclasses, online fle classes and TCF certification

The Collège de Paris thus offers a varied package to learn French for international students and professionals: French classes in Paris as a short stay (from one to a few weeks) or long stay (several months) in small groups, attending private lessons.

A range of online french langugage courses supplements the classroom-based training and makes it possible to learn French with good teachers before or after one’s stay in Paris. In partnership with other schools of the Collège de Paris, Elfe also offers training inBusiness French and specialist terms, in particular in French for Fashion and Luxury Goods. These courses can be supplemented by a training course with a company in Paris within the setting of the French + internship option.

A specific course is dedicated to foreign students who wish to follow studies in France or in French. The Pathway “My Study in France” combines fle classes with a foundation year for business schools or schools of applied art.

At the end of the training courses a certificate is given to the student to certify their level attained. But students can also take the General Knowledge Test in French (TCF)Training sessions in TCF with examples of exercises are in fact organized before each session.

Before the start of training, the College de Paris offers to students to test their French level online.
