The Collège de Paris moves to La Défense

By the end of the year, the Collège de Paris will open a campus in the Arche de La Défense. The four schools involved in this move – Ascencia Business School, l’Ecole Conte, Digital College et Ascencia Sport – will be gathered in a connected campus of 2,800 m². With this installation, the Collège de Paris innovates and offers in La Défense: the first school of art, design and fashion; The first alternating business school; The first campus connected.
An innovative connected campus
From September 2017, four schools of the Collège de Paris will take up their quarters within the Arche de La Défense:
- Ascencia Business School, School of Business and Management,
- The Ecole Conte, specialized since 1949 in the applied arts,
- Digital College, digital school with a start up spirit,
- Ascencia Sport, school of sport management
The Ms Food and beverage management of the College of Paris will also be integrated into this new campus.
With a surface area of 2800 m², this connected campus offers students: 16 classrooms, virtual oral defense rooms, 4 design workshops, 2 computer graphics rooms, 1 Fab Lab, 1 amphitheater, 2 cafeterias, 1 library, 1 studio and 1 digital room.
All the courses offered there are intended to be digitized and disseminated via the MyDigitalUniversity platform by the international offices of the Paris College in China, India, North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
“The opening of the Arche de La Défense campus is a strategic turning point for Le Collège de Paris. First and foremost, it aims at offering all our students a great living environment in line with the high ambitions we have for them. The arch, a symbolic monument on the historic axis of the Louvre and the Champs Elysées, in the heart of Europe’s first business district, offers us and our international partners a unique attraction . Finally, this installation is part of our digitization strategy. Headquarter of Digital College, our “Startup School”, and of MyDigitalUniversity, our online platform, this site will be a connected campus” says Olivier de Lagarde, President of the Collège de Paris.
The development of links with major companies in La Défense
This campus will strengthen ties with companies located in the business district. It is a strategic choice, students on the La Défense site will be able to do their internships, professionalization or apprenticeship contracts and find their first jobs there.
“The Mayor of Puteaux reserved us an exceptional reception and mobilized all his services with many possible joint projects. Same enthusiasm among the teams of Defacto who does a remarkable work to animate this unique neighborhood in Europe, thanks to the network La Défense Campus: more than 40 000 students are already present on the site” adds Olivier de Lagarde.
