The Afghan Ministry of Higher Education in Paris

The Collège de Paris had the privilege of organizing a study trip for the delegation of the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education on the following theme: evaluation and improvement of Master’s degrees.

The visit was funded and implemented by USAID (United States Agency for International Development and the world’s leading agency for economic development and humanitarian assistance). The Collège de Paris was selected following an invitation for tender launched by the agency to organize this program for the delegation of the Afghan Ministry of Higher Education.

With the discovery of Paris, round-table discussions or meetings of professionals of the sector, the group was able to enjoy two weeks in the French capital. The delegation was thus able to visit some major institutions of higher education such as the Higher Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) or the National Commission for Professional Certification (CNCP) and to meet their respective presidents: Michel Cosnard and George Assaraf. Also scheduled was the visit of School 42, a private IT training institution in France and the United States.

At Ascencia Business School, the business and management school of the Collège de Paris, the group was also able to attend two conferences: one by Pedro Gonzalo, Human Resources Director of the Société Générale and professor at the Collège de Paris; And the other by Aldric Boulangé, Vice-President of the Collège de Paris and Director of Ascencia Business School.

The stay was of course punctuated by an indispensable discovery of French culture, with the traditional boat-fly ride on the Seine or the visit of the castle of Versailles.

The trip ended with a graduation ceremony presided by Olivier de Lagarde, President of the Collège de Paris, in the City Hall of the 2nd arrondissement, a great setting to close this immersion organized by our teams.
