Back to school at the Bristol with Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger

Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, President of Champagne Taittinger, has kindly accepted to give the inaugural lecture of the Collège de Paris 2014 which took place at the Hôtel Le Bristol on the 13th of October.  He is also sponsoring the first year of the Master’s programme in «Luxury Food and Wine Management ».

After requesting partnerships with several hotels carrying the Palace label, last summer we finally chose the Hôtel Le Bristol. This prestigious establishment on the Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré welcome, in the Salle Castellane, the traditional inaugural lecture given this year by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger.

President of one of the most famous French champagne houses, this original director is the perfect symbol of the values of excellence and openness of the Collège de Paris. A legacee and an entrepreneur, he has always known how to mix tradition and innovation, surrounding himself with young talents, to better manage and develop the family enterprise. With all his experience, he will certainly encourage all our new first year students to give the best of themselves.

This beginning of term event was open to all the students enrolled in the two programmes of French excellence at the Collège de Paris:

> «Luxury Goods and Fashion Management», launched in 2011 and supported by  l’Ecole supérieure d’art Françoise Conte ;

> «Luxury Food and Wine Management» launched in 2014 and supported by Elfe, school of French language, life and culture.

These two masters’ degrees have won several Innovation and Programme Launch prizes awarded by SMBG / Eduniversal in the context of their Best Master’s, Professional Master’s and MBAs classification. The previous events took place at the Ritz (2011), the Lutétia (2012) and the Hôtel Meurice (2013).

Champagne will be taking centre stage at the beginning of the master’s degree in «Luxury Food and Wine Management». The first study trip took the students to Reims and Epernay, while the course tutor, Hugues Le Marié has led the development of the Mumm and Perrier-Jouet champagne brands for the sector leader Pernod-Ricard in the United States and Italy before doing the same for Martel Cognac.
