Grand opening of the school year at Hôtel Plaza Athénée

As every year, our Ms Luxury and Fashion Management and Ms Food and Wine Management’s back to school day will take place in a Parisian palace. The Plaza Athénée has been chosen for this year’s event, on Monday, October 17th 2016.

Back to School at Hôtel Plaza Athénée

Next Monday, October 17th, our students will start the year in the prestigious surroundings of Hôtel Plaza Athénée. It thus enters into the list of palaces the College de Paris chose since 2011, which gave their names to each class. Hôtel Plaza Athénée succeeds to the Ritz (2011), the Lutetia (2012), the Meurice (2013), the Bristol (2014) and the Peninsula (2015).

Our students will be welcomed by the hotel team in a private room. The conference will be followed by the traditional welcome cocktail of the Collège de Paris. Thanks to this partnership, some students will also have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the palace during the year.

Hôtel Plaza Athénée, emblematic Parisian palace

Symbol of haute couture and luxury, the Plaza Athénée is located in the Parisian Golden Triangle, at 25 Avenue Montaigne. Built in the early twentieth century, it perfectly illustrates the values of the Collège de Paris, that is to say French excellence and international influence.

Member of Doschester Collection, which owns prestigious establishments through England, Italy, Swiss or the United-states, Hôtel Plaza Athénée received the official palace distinction in 2012. The following year, on 20th April 2013, the Hotel celebrated its 100th birthday, just from the day after its inauguration.

Since a recent refurbishment, it now offers 154 rooms and 54 suites all of which are beautifully designed with French décor in mind. Alain Ducasse supervises the Hotel’s catering services for the Alain Ducasse at Hotel Plaza Athénée restaurant, which obtained three Michelin stars in 2001.
