Back to Ascencia Sport’s learning expedition

With a view to an increasingly innovative pedagogy, Ascencia Sport students participated in a learning expedition combining visits, practices and interventions.

Ascencia Sport students had a week of learning rich in experiences. As part of the learning expedition, the Bachelor and Ms first had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of the French Football Federation and participate in a presentation orchestrated by Maëlle Plavis, project manager for the development of FFF talent. In this pre-World Cup period, penetrating an institution such as the 3F was certainly an essential step in this learning expedition.

The next day, the day was placed under the sign of basketball. The students had the opportunity to compete on the floor of the Hoops Factory in Aubervilliers, a complex entirely dedicated to the practice of basketball. In the afternoon, back to La Grande Arche where the students were visited by Marco Soumah, former French glory of the NFL now reconverted consultant for American sports at Bein Sports to exchange on US basketball and the NBA.

Raise awareness among all participants

On Thursday, the group was able to meet at the football five in Bezons where everyone had the opportunity to show the extent of his talent ball to the feet before sharing Friday a day entirely dedicated to practices handisports.

Supervised by Pascal Gaillot, black belt judo and blind, students could immerse themselves in the practice of judo blindfolded. A real immersion in the skin of a disabled athlete who is blind where everyone could realize the fight it represents.

This learning expedition ended on Friday afternoon with a speech by Pascal Gaillot in the auditorium to raise awareness among all participants of the practices and importance of disability sports.
